sHedway
sHedway is a grassroots health promotion charity for suicide prevention and mental fitness in Australia’s shearing industry. Their motto is "Keep Walking In, Keep Reaching Out." Sarah (founder of 1000 Hearts) met Carol (founder of sHedway) during the Rural Women's Awards process in 2025, when Carol went on to win the National award. In 2026, sHedway team and 1000 Hearts proudly partnered to share and celebrate kindness.
In the shearing sheds, heart is respected above all. Heart is the grit and strength it takes to Keep Walking In to the sheep pen (or to life) no matter how tough the day is. Our pocket hearts allow tough and strong shearers and shed hands to share heart with each other. To not only Keep Walking In, but also to Keep Reaching Out to each other.
$10 from every kit sold is donated to sHedway to support their work.

Adora Fertility
These hearts are offered to patients accessing fertility treatment at Adora Fertility, which prioritises affordability for Australian families. 1000 Hearts has partnered with Adora since 2023 because our values of inclusivity, accessibility and compassion align so beautifully.
Each clinic is different, but hearts are generally given to patients at their embryo transfer appointment. There aren't always enough hearts to share with all patients and these kits aim to help ensure everyone gets a heart to hold onto during a challenging process.
You are invited to make hearts and send them to your chosen Adora clinic, to support those experiencing the emotional rollercoaster that many patients experience when going through IVF.

Palliative Care Tasmania
Our hearts have a natural place in times of grief, providing comfort and love through medical treatment, end-of-life, dying, death and bereavement.
Palliative Care Tasmania (PCT) aims to empower the community through awareness, information and engagement. The partnership with 1000 hearts helps to open conversations around palliative care and increase understanding about mindfulness, kindness and strengthening community.
20% of sales are donated to PCT, a registered charity and the peak representative body for specialist, hospice and community-supported palliative care in Tasmania (my home state).

Palliative Care Australia
Make and share hearts to support Palliative Care Australia (PCA) - 20% of sales are donated to PCA, a registered charity and the national peak body for palliative care.
PCA's logo is an orange heart, representing care and friendship. It is seen as ‘heart-warming and encouraging’ and used as a symbol of ‘always being there for me’ – values that connect with palliative care.
In my partnership with PCA, I have brought our hearts to the Oceanic Palliative Care Conferences and Parliament House in Canberra. I can vouch for how much heart palliative care professionals put into their work.
