Heart Ladies

Delightful little Heart Ladies, designed to oversee and protect Heartists, makers and kind people. These peg dolls come from a beautiful collaboration between two makers, Sarah from 1000 Hearts and Amy from Sunshine Dandelion Art. Each one has been created to symbolise different aspects of 1000 Hearts and represent kindness, connection and care.

Dot - with her grey hair and blue dress covered in hearts, Dot is a wise Heart Lady who believes in spreading kindness anywhere and everywhere. She is a true kindness addict and makes endless hearts for everyone. Named by Amy, during her creation.

Lillian - flowers grow everywhere around Lillian and she believes kindness flourishes when nurtured. Lil's goal is to spread kindness like seeds and watch them sprout. Named for my children's great-grandmother who also inspired the Nana's Garden pre-cuts pack.

Jemima - Jemima keeps a heart in her pocket at all times, because you never know when you might need a bit of courage. Being rather shy, Jemima likes to give hearts out quietly and often anonymously, sometimes lurking nearby to watch the reaction they elicit. Named by my shy Jase, who only chooses J names (his sons are Josh, Jayden and Jacob).

Amy - with her basket full of hearts, Amy always has kindness ready to share. Creative, smart and practical, Amy is sensitive to the needs of others and always knows when to step forward with a kind word. Named for the creator of these lovely peg dolls.

Maude - with a rainbow dress and a huge heart, Maude is always ready with a hug and a smile when she's out in the world (which she almost always is). Named for our little black rabbit, Remy, who had many strange nicknames. I cannot explain how a boy rabbit became Maude, but it is what it is.

Hand painted and varnished with love and care in South Australia. Each Heart Lady stands at just under 9cm tall.
